Hey, how YOU doin` ?

So, ive been to good ole LEEDS- town and I must say, im well glad to be back in comfy homely Switzerland.... I kind of forgot how crappy and scary and bland that place is... But, on the upside I did get to see Nanna and my cousins, so.. thats okay.. and It was really tops to catch up with mum. We did a few little outtings, on my request we went to York (York Minster picture above..), I just love the place so, its small but just quaint and lovely.

I got my chomps around some good old english foood which also pleased me greatly, Fish n Chips, mMMmm...

So im back in Switzerland now, with Mumsie in tow.. today being our first day here we did some sightseeing around Lausanne, drank coffee, ate some swiss treats and had a really nice walk along the lake.. Im just a tad bit peeved that it was so hazy and you could barely make out France which is right in your face.... BUT, fingers crossed tomorrow or Friday will bring less haze and more amazing sights. Id hate mum to go home without spotting some proper swiss alpage!
Anywho, tonight we are going to Les Pacots to have a nice typical swiss fondue... Mums first try, hope it goes well.. :)
Ill write again after Saturday and fill you in on the goings on.
Peace love and swiss treats x

My eyes guide me, through the light and dark...

It doesnt matter what people see us as, its what we see ourself as that really matters to the heart.

I had my french test this morning, NOT expecting it to be an hour long test, lets just say I had some kind of crazy headache afterwards... I really dont think i went THAT well, my grammaire is really not up to kilt!!!!!

The lady form the university said she will email with the results and if I qualify for entry... eeeeep.

Anyways, by the by, if i dont get into this uni I might try for a lower graded course in another, or do the basic francais at this uni... either way I will sort something out, and im not that stressed!!!

Ive finished unpacking all my belongings into Juliens place, bless him, im invading his whole place and he hasnt complained once.. thus far ha ha.. AND ive basically packed all my things ready to go to england tomorrow... CHANGES ARE UPON US!

Right now I ahve to scoot off for a specialist apointment pour mes yeux. I really want to be able to wear my contatcs AGAIN.... SOMETIME... THIS LIFETIME.... bah humbug.

what will be will be....

Is it that time already?

..Ive packed my things im good to go....

Well not really. Still packing. Its such a tedious job this packing business.... Im packing all my things up form the Nyon house, but im also setting aside the things I am needing to take to England. Im doing my washing and trying to organise the house as well as a bomb has clearly hit it somtime during this weekend.

I thought I would have enough time to pack this morning but clearly not. I can still do some of it tomorrow, but I dont want Jet coming home to a complete mess!

So Jets back tonight, Im working tomorrow while she unpacks then we are all having a family dinner Tuesday night, then Im moving all my stuff to Juliens... Wednesday I ahve the french test and then I have an eye specialist appointment in the afternoon. Then I fly out Thursday.

Weathers looking to be quite ok in england which pleases me... But i have bought a wind/rain jacket for if needed.

The weekend was rather chilled. J1 and I went shopping sat, chilled in the arvo and had an early night sleep. Sunday we had a bbq down at the lakeside, the weather is getting colder but the sunshine is holding out!!!!

Okay off to pick up the kids..... Im so glad to be finishing au pairing, im really over it now!

Peace out. x

when your spirits going to die, the winner shoots high,

Life is ever changing.
Decisions on life seem to be made, then they change. But, thats OK.

I'll take what you throw at me with a grain of salt.

Its okay to be down sometimes, its just part of it. Happiness will always shine through.

I finish up this temp job in Nyon on Tuesday, Jet returns from her european extranaganza and I'm free falling.
Im off to England on Thurs, back the following Tuesday avec maman. Im well well well excited
to show her around this place. Im just crossing all my parts for some splendid weather.
J1 and I have some rockin' plans for her time here... so I really need the weather to work out.

Im taking a test on wednesday to see if I am eligible to start a french course at one of the universitys in town. Exciting, scary etc etc.
I want to learn Francais, I just have a strange feeling that maybe I just cant. But, for all involved I am going to try.... I will try for me, for J1 and for everyone else it will benefit.

Im going to try and blog a bit more. Clearly the NY story isnt happening. Some promises just have to be broken.

Short posts are the key to success.

Cheer up Charlie xx

Im going to keep on keeping on.

Dear readers.

Appologies for lack in bloger-ism. I just havent been in the mood.
I know i promised THE NEW YORK STORY a while back. and, the promise still stands, i just didnt specify a time frame.....

BUT in the meantime, i just wanted to say AHOY THERE MATEYS.

Lifes been pretty stressful for me of late, work life i guess, rather not bring into personal out of work life, because to be frank, thats just bloody PEACHEY.

But yeah, when my spirits not up, blog writing isnt something i turn too.

Im taking it all with a pinch of salt though, because, as my good mate Ronan Keating once said "life is a rollercoater you just got to ride it" and its true. Just ride it.

So to lift my spirits up, Julien and I have organised a 4 day weekend in the south of France, we are leaving tomorrow night as to miss the crazy traffic. Heading to Vias which is on the Languedoc coast between Agde and Beziers.... cant WAIT.

The weather is warming up SO much, today i even got sun burnt just hanging out with chloe down by the lake. Very excited about this.

Its still crazy though, walking round in t-shirts and skirts and looking round to see snow capped mountains still... quite a delight i must say.

The kids are going well, Roxane celebrated her first communion last Sunday, but to be honest i think thats the end of her once a week church going days. Chahin and Larence have the kids do Church school up until they hit their first communion and then its their choice if they continue or not... Margaux did not and I dont think Roxane plans to either. Each to their own.

They are all loving the fact they can play outside now and taking full use of the trampoline at ALL times possible. But, even when it had snow on it, they would rug up, wipe the snow off and bounce till their hearts content. Such a simple yet fulfilling thing. If i ever have children i will be SURE to get a trampoline.... hours of entertainment.

More trips to the lake and outside for Chloe and I, which is fun for all.

Everyones well and happy, not sure what else to comment on them just now.

We are having a barbeque for dinner tonight, my first one at my swiss home for the year, so YAY... Sure doesnt beat a good old Kinnoul Avenue one, but alas, it will be FAB.

Happy Tuesday everyone x

We are leaving tomorrow at 8.45AM, heading to Geneva airport to depart fro Paris at 11am, we are in Paris for only 1.5hrs and then fly straight to JFK airport.. we land about 3.30pm New york time.. Just time to go back to hotel, freshen up and have a chill about town and grab some dinner. I plan on getting a good night sleep to prepare for the rest of the crazy week ahead.

The weather here in Switzles land has been AMAZING. Like tee shirts and..for some people shorts... everyone was down by the lake today and Jet and I went down for some chill out and people watching. meanwhile, its only been 16 degrees but it feels dayum warm.

Like I said previously its been a long long long winter, so everyone is now on holidays to get som R and R.

Jet left this arvo with Laurence and my girls for Verbier.. the weather and atmosphere up there this week will be fabulous. Its school holidays and the sun is a shining.. they are going to have such a great time.

Anywho, i may get time to update in New York.. otherwise i shall fill you all in upon my return.

Ciao meow.. be safe.. love you all..

My bed is my savior.

Ughhhhhhhhhhhh.

Spent the day in bed. Really, feel as though I have been hit by a truck. fever, coughing, throwing up everything i attempt to eat. This really does suck.

Laurence seems to think it due to the seasonal change and that may people get sick. Its insaine. I cant afford to get sick every time the weather changes. GOD.

To top it all off, my right eye is in a bad state. Its stinging and all red. Joy to me. Really.

Julien has hurt his back so he is off work also. We are doing well.

Anywho thats just my update.

Hope all is well your side of the world.

heres a cough theres a cough everywhere a cough cough

Had a most amazing weekend just chilling in my main town.. but alas, i have caught chloes COUGH. Its killing me.. i dotn feel bad etc etc but i just cant stop coughing its driving me MAD.

friday night had a cool night in chilling with Jet at the apartment down by the lake. Just watche d a chick flick, chatted and ate a whole lot of food that is sure to add to these here muffin tops!! oh la la.... it was well worth it though.

Saturday Jet and I hit lausanne city to window ahop, drink coffee and just enjoy relaxing and not having to work.. Then last night it was Felipes (Juliesns friends) house warming, we had a really good night, started at the apartment, then to a bar then out for a dance... shaking a tail feather did definately happen. Got back rather late as the time just FLEW by... Met some really awesome people, the girlfriends of two of Juliens rfeinds, one is swiss and one is czeck, we had so much fun.. so im looking forward to seeing them again, which is kind of sure, as i stop working up at the alps from next weekend, so all my weekends are free for my own personal enjoyment.. wahhhoooo...

STILL strugglign with this holiday planning, its really doing my head in. How can it be so hard to find somethign that suits.. both of us are too blaze about it all, i think thats the problem.. we both just want to go somewhere, but we kind of need to DECIDE.. and BOOK... ahhh so thats what I am doing as well as writing on here.. Juliens being REALLY helpful by sitting and watching the skiing news instead of helping ... Grrrrrr

My week plan has changed a tiny bit now, i get Monday mornings off and I work till 5pm now on wednesdays instead of 2. Jasmine and I are goign to go swimming and walking just to get her english a bit more fluent to what it is now... shes happy with it and im looking forward to spending some quality time with her...

Well ive coughed about 10 thousand times in the duration of this post.. so my chest feel slike its about to spontaniously combust.. good luck with that. i say.

catcha round like a rissole. x

The BISE is coming the BISE is coming, run for your life!

gee wizz, this here BISE wind is hideous! They have names for different winds, the translation of this one is basically "BLOODY COLD" it comes straight off the lake and as far as i am concerned straight form the NORTH POLE.

Its been a stunning 15-16 degrees thorugh the day the past few days them WHAM BAM THANKYEE MAAM its fareeezing again and i had to fish out my feather down jacket... not cool man. NOT COOL.

So Im either getting sick or I have a random bout of ASTHMA. Neither i would like but i guess id rather have a slight cold than asthma. Chloe has been sick all week and as much as i say HANDS WHEN COUGHING, WASH HANDS, BLOW NOSE NOT SNIFF etc etc, i think ive got it. damn.

But alas, nothing will sway me away from my super weekend ahead and still organising holiday plans. Tonight an old friend (yes thats right, after 7 months, you can have OLD FRIENDS) is DJing at a club here in town that I used to frequent, i havent gone out to shake my tail feather in quite some time, so Juliet and I are looking forward to this very much. Might acompany it with a superior dinner at the nice Italian place.. hmmm

Tomorrow is relax a mode day, im so stoked to not be going to the Alps for once and just being able to chillll out in town. Tomorrow night i have a house warming, a friend got a super awesome apartment right in the centre of town. So we gotta go christen it with a few bevoirs and laughs.

Sunday, CHILL OUT DAY AGAIN woohooo, Julien and I will sort out the final details of our easter break.

Its been a long long winter, I am so glad its coming to an end... snow is amazing, snowboarding, skiing, the scenery.. dont get me wrong, but my body is craving some warmth and vitamin D.

There is a giant hairy scray looking spider in the laundry which is really perturbing me... the purpose of spiders is still un known to me and I really wish they were never on Noahs ark. HA.

Oki dokes, about 8 kids are due here in about 5 mins, so i best be off...

A bientot x

Spring has Sprung.

Here I am, hello all..

I did not dissapear, although at times it feels as such.

Since 5 years (5 months) ago when i last wrote, way too much happened to even TRY and recount.

But, had an amazing time in Australia for Ruza and Justins wedding. really was a magical day and I am very very glad that I was able to make it. Spent some quality time with friends and family and enjoyed myself as much as I could.

The 37 hour travel time to return was a bt of a bugger, but, thats what happens when you travel across the world....

Spring has finally sprung here and its really refreshing. The snow has finally gone from the backyard and driveway and close by streets. Its sucha treat not having to dig a path for the car.... The only snow that remains down here is in the forest where i walk the dog, but that also is dispursing rather quickly with this sunshine.

We are enjoying our last few trips up to the alps for skiing / snowboarding, as by the end of april the snow wont be any good for such activities.

I am having lots of fun spending time with my boyfriend Julien who i have been with nearly 5 months now, we are currently organising a holiday together for the easter break... it will be nice to discover somewhere else... we have too may options, so its all just in the air right now...

The kids are growing and changng everyday.. I currently have a very very crazy 4 year old on ym hands, who is acting about 20 years old, wont take any direction and must be entertained at all times.. its trying, but at the same time, thats what this job is all about.... ha ha....

I fnish up with this family in July, at the start of the summer holidays. Then from July 22nd till Sept 18th I have another job as an au pair, i am just dong the two months to help out Juliet who will be on vacation at that time. The family only has 2 kids, girl and boy, 5 and 8 respectively. They live in Nyon, which is only about 15 mins out of Lausanne. So not so far away from anythng I have here, freinds, family, school. It will be nce to have a change of scenery and the like.

I have to decide by tonight what I am doing with my french schooling, atleast with my current course. Its just not motivating and the people in it are real sad sops... not my type of people. Its really hard to be motivated when the teacher basically just reads from the text.... so If i stop, i really want to find another course, i am thinking about a uni course... and its by a private uni, so it should be quite good..

Anywho I ahve to get these 3 kids back off to school, they are currently locking eachother out of the house... (cant say i havent thought about doing it myself ha ha)...

Its good to be back.

xo
