A quiet night in with someone I love and respect completely was just what I needed. From serious to completely insaine. We covered it all.
Im blessed with amazing friendships. They are whats keeping me afloat in a time when I could just drown oh so easily.
The friendships I see around me are the ones I know will continue to stand the miles that have and will be again placed between us.
Grateful.
I'll cross the country on a frequency

Anyone out there
Its been some time, things have changed, other things havent...
Reminiscing abotu the past makes me feel...... odd..... dont know if thats a good odd or a bad odd.
I think the fact I am stuck in groundhog day at the moment.. makes things feel ever more odd.
Do you ever wish you could do something over, knowing what you know now, after the event..
So many people say, dont regret, etc etc... but sometimes... everyone must regret, everyone must want to change something, do something again, better, different...
This is a very morose post I know. Just saying.
.. So is there.. Anyone out there?

Hey, how YOU doin` ?
So, ive been to good ole LEEDS- town and I must say, im well glad to be back in comfy homely Switzerland.... I kind of forgot how crappy and scary and bland that place is... But, on the upside I did get to see Nanna and my cousins, so.. thats okay.. and It was really tops to catch up with mum. We did a few little outtings, on my request we went to York (York Minster picture above..), I just love the place so, its small but just quaint and lovely.
I got my chomps around some good old english foood which also pleased me greatly, Fish n Chips, mMMmm...
So im back in Switzerland now, with Mumsie in tow.. today being our first day here we did some sightseeing around Lausanne, drank coffee, ate some swiss treats and had a really nice walk along the lake.. Im just a tad bit peeved that it was so hazy and you could barely make out France which is right in your face.... BUT, fingers crossed tomorrow or Friday will bring less haze and more amazing sights. Id hate mum to go home without spotting some proper swiss alpage!
Anywho, tonight we are going to Les Pacots to have a nice typical swiss fondue... Mums first try, hope it goes well.. :)
Ill write again after Saturday and fill you in on the goings on.Peace love and swiss treats x

My eyes guide me, through the light and dark...
It doesnt matter what people see us as, its what we see ourself as that really matters to the heart.
I had my french test this morning, NOT expecting it to be an hour long test, lets just say I had some kind of crazy headache afterwards... I really dont think i went THAT well, my grammaire is really not up to kilt!!!!!
The lady form the university said she will email with the results and if I qualify for entry... eeeeep.
Anyways, by the by, if i dont get into this uni I might try for a lower graded course in another, or do the basic francais at this uni... either way I will sort something out, and im not that stressed!!!
Ive finished unpacking all my belongings into Juliens place, bless him, im invading his whole place and he hasnt complained once.. thus far ha ha.. AND ive basically packed all my things ready to go to england tomorrow... CHANGES ARE UPON US!
Right now I ahve to scoot off for a specialist apointment pour mes yeux. I really want to be able to wear my contatcs AGAIN.... SOMETIME... THIS LIFETIME.... bah humbug.
what will be will be....

Is it that time already?
..Ive packed my things im good to go....
Well not really. Still packing. Its such a tedious job this packing business.... Im packing all my things up form the Nyon house, but im also setting aside the things I am needing to take to England. Im doing my washing and trying to organise the house as well as a bomb has clearly hit it somtime during this weekend.
I thought I would have enough time to pack this morning but clearly not. I can still do some of it tomorrow, but I dont want Jet coming home to a complete mess!
So Jets back tonight, Im working tomorrow while she unpacks then we are all having a family dinner Tuesday night, then Im moving all my stuff to Juliens... Wednesday I ahve the french test and then I have an eye specialist appointment in the afternoon. Then I fly out Thursday.
Weathers looking to be quite ok in england which pleases me... But i have bought a wind/rain jacket for if needed.
The weekend was rather chilled. J1 and I went shopping sat, chilled in the arvo and had an early night sleep. Sunday we had a bbq down at the lakeside, the weather is getting colder but the sunshine is holding out!!!!
Okay off to pick up the kids..... Im so glad to be finishing au pairing, im really over it now!
Peace out. x

when your spirits going to die, the winner shoots high,

Life is ever changing.
Decisions on life seem to be made, then they change. But, thats OK.
I'll take what you throw at me with a grain of salt.
Its okay to be down sometimes, its just part of it. Happiness will always shine through.
I finish up this temp job in Nyon on Tuesday, Jet returns from her european extranaganza and I'm free falling.
Im off to England on Thurs, back the following Tuesday avec maman. Im well well well excited
to show her around this place. Im just crossing all my parts for some splendid weather.
J1 and I have some rockin' plans for her time here... so I really need the weather to work out.
Im taking a test on wednesday to see if I am eligible to start a french course at one of the universitys in town. Exciting, scary etc etc.
I want to learn Francais, I just have a strange feeling that maybe I just cant. But, for all involved I am going to try.... I will try for me, for J1 and for everyone else it will benefit.
Im going to try and blog a bit more. Clearly the NY story isnt happening. Some promises just have to be broken.
Short posts are the key to success.
Cheer up Charlie xx

Im going to keep on keeping on.
Dear readers.
Appologies for lack in bloger-ism. I just havent been in the mood.
I know i promised THE NEW YORK STORY a while back. and, the promise still stands, i just didnt specify a time frame.....
BUT in the meantime, i just wanted to say AHOY THERE MATEYS.
Lifes been pretty stressful for me of late, work life i guess, rather not bring into personal out of work life, because to be frank, thats just bloody PEACHEY.
But yeah, when my spirits not up, blog writing isnt something i turn too.
Im taking it all with a pinch of salt though, because, as my good mate Ronan Keating once said "life is a rollercoater you just got to ride it" and its true. Just ride it.
So to lift my spirits up, Julien and I have organised a 4 day weekend in the south of France, we are leaving tomorrow night as to miss the crazy traffic. Heading to Vias which is on the Languedoc coast between Agde and Beziers.... cant WAIT.
The weather is warming up SO much, today i even got sun burnt just hanging out with chloe down by the lake. Very excited about this.
Its still crazy though, walking round in t-shirts and skirts and looking round to see snow capped mountains still... quite a delight i must say.
The kids are going well, Roxane celebrated her first communion last Sunday, but to be honest i think thats the end of her once a week church going days. Chahin and Larence have the kids do Church school up until they hit their first communion and then its their choice if they continue or not... Margaux did not and I dont think Roxane plans to either. Each to their own.
They are all loving the fact they can play outside now and taking full use of the trampoline at ALL times possible. But, even when it had snow on it, they would rug up, wipe the snow off and bounce till their hearts content. Such a simple yet fulfilling thing. If i ever have children i will be SURE to get a trampoline.... hours of entertainment.
More trips to the lake and outside for Chloe and I, which is fun for all.
Everyones well and happy, not sure what else to comment on them just now.
We are having a barbeque for dinner tonight, my first one at my swiss home for the year, so YAY... Sure doesnt beat a good old Kinnoul Avenue one, but alas, it will be FAB.
Happy Tuesday everyone x
